Baseball shoes with molded plastic cleats, developed to provide directional traction and stable ground contact for training and game use, with customizable OEM / ODM construction and styling.
This model is developed around the movement patterns of baseball rather than simply adding cleats to a conventional sports shoe. Acceleration, sudden stops, lateral movement, and rotational actions all place different demands on the outsole, so the placement and geometry of the plastic cleats become a central part of the design. The result is a baseball-specific silhouette that can be developed for training, competitive play, team programs, and branded sports collections.
The outsole uses molded plastic cleats instead of metal spikes. Their height, shape, orientation, and distribution can be adjusted according to the intended playing surface and the level of traction required. Forefoot cleats can be arranged to support push-off and directional movement, while the heel area can be developed with a broader contact pattern for braking and stability. Compared with metal spikes, plastic cleats also allow more flexibility in outsole construction and overall product positioning.
For custom development, the upper material, toe reinforcement, heel structure, collar height, tongue padding, lacing system, lining, insole cushioning, midsole density, outsole material, cleat shape, cleat distribution, color combination, team or brand logo, packaging, and size range can all be adjusted. The design can move toward a lightweight speed-oriented baseball shoe, a more reinforced training model, or a visually stronger team style depending on the intended use.
Asahihara Co., Ltd. can support last development, upper pattern adjustment, outsole and cleat structure development, material sourcing, sample making, fitting review, production management, QC, and bulk production follow-up. For baseball footwear, the upper and outsole should be developed together because traction, foot hold, flex position, and rotational stability are closely related.
During sampling and bulk production, key checkpoints include cleat strength, outsole bonding, cleat distribution, forefoot flex, heel hold, lateral stability, upper reinforcement, and size grading. Actual traction should be evaluated on the intended playing surface, as cleat performance can vary depending on ground hardness, grass condition, and field construction.
